The view from a beach chair in Cancún, somewhere between a deep breath and a much-needed nap. I was wildly hungover, the kind where even the shade feels like a gift—and this palapa, with the soft hum of waves in the background, was exactly that. Looking up, all I saw was palm fronds swaying and the thatched lines above catching bits of sky.

A little moment of rest under a roof made for it.
